In the Black Box Fort Worth about us page we state that we believe that hard work is hard but it works. I got a picture today that, to me, defines hard work. How do you measure hard work? I’m not really sure. We can measure your progress through testing and scoring or timing workouts but how can we tell if you are working hard? Its a bit abstract but nonetheless still VERY important.
Now back to the picture. Why does it scream hard work to me? Well, first of all i know Kat and the way she attacks workouts so i have no doubt that she is putting in work. Secondly, the fact that she knows how she is going to feel after the hard work but still puts in the effort is inspiring to me. She very clearly understands that if she doesn’t put the effort in up front then anything is easy. She also know that putting in that effort is gonna suck a little, hence the little comment at the bottom of the picture scratched out in chalk.
I love the passion and drive that it takes to accomplish your goals or i would not be in this business. I urge everyone to put in the hard work when you are here and you are sure to reap the benefits you desire.
Along with the Hard Work theme this week we will be doing testing to get a baseline for a couple different capacities in the General Fitness classes this week. All YOU have to do is show up and work you A$$. I’ll do the rest.
Be ready to give it all you have and we will revisit some of these benchmarks in a couple weeks to see how the program is working and what kind of progress you are making.
